utopia eco was a delightful surprise during our stay in lanquin. the views over the forest are breathtaking, and the staff were super helpful in organizing our trips to the amazing pools. we really enjoyed the family-style dinners, which made our experience feel cozy and fun!
the water was turned off unexpectedly.

The views are breathtaking, especially from the cabins overlooking the river, creating a serene atmosphere. The outdoor areas provide a nice place to chill out and enjoy the jungle vibes.
The room in the River Front Cabin requires renovation with uncomfortable mattresses, and there are issues like a broken showerhead. We faced challenges with water availability on the first day and had no electricity, including Wi-Fi, on the second day, not to mention the steep stairs that may be tough for some guests. Be prepared for the presence of dogs that can be quite noisy at times.

We had an incredible time exploring the nearby caves. It felt like a thrilling adventure as we crawled and climbed our way through the dark tunnels. My teenage daughter and I especially loved swimming in the river afterward, soaking up the sun. The friendly staff made our stay even more enjoyable.
My wife says that the showers were really cold and inconsistent during our stay. Bringing a better water source would greatly benefit families.

The stunning river view from the cabin adds to the tranquil atmosphere, making it a peaceful retreat. The vegetarian food was not only delicious but also featured fresh, local ingredients, which enhanced the overall dining experience. However, the shared showers in the main building were quite basic, and there were some nights when unexpected jungle visitors made things a bit unsettling. Additionally, reaching the hotel without staff assistance proved challenging.

No room for improvement.

The Double Room was clean but pretty basic. The bed was super firm and definitely not the best for a good night's sleep. Pillows could use a serious upgrade. they just didn't cut it. Shared bathroom was okay, but it could’ve been cleaner. Overall, the room had a rustic charm with its eco vibes, but comfort-wise, it left something to be desired.

great nature but some room for improvement
We loved the breathtaking river view from our cabin, it made our mornings extra special. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that our transfers and tours were organized with ease. The breakfast was delightful, especially the pancakes which were a hit with the kids.
The shared bathroom could use more frequent cleaning.

Utopia Eco is a stunning spot in the jungle, just minutes from a beautiful swimming river, perfect for relaxation. The food was fantastic, featuring organic and homemade options, and family-style dinners enhanced the experience. Engaging activities such as yoga classes, a chocolate tour, and Semuc Champey adventure kept the stay exciting. The bungalows were simple yet clean, providing excellent value for the price.
Service could be improved with more attentive staff.
